Our perfumes last an average of 10 to 12 hours. How long a scent lasts exactly depends on various factors. Think of the quality, the concentration of the oils, and the percentage of fragrance components. Your skin type also plays a role: perfume is absorbed better on oily skin than on dry skin.

Tip: Don't rub the area where you applied perfume. This can damage the scent structures, which means the perfume won't last as long. Also, make sure you don't apply perfume to dry skin; hydrate your skin first for optimal results.

When choosing a perfume, you naturally want to try as many scents as possible. Unfortunately, your nose can usually distinguish no more than three different perfumes. Therefore, take your time and smell a perfume several times. In the beginning, you often only smell the top notes, later the heart notes and finally the base notes come forward.

Tip: Use coffee beans to neutralize your nose between sniffs. Don't spray the perfume too close to your nose, but apply it to your wrists. Note: don't rub your wrists, this can disrupt the scent structure.

Many people quickly use more than four sprays of a perfume to keep smelling the scent for a long time. With our perfumes, however, 2 to 3 sprays are more than enough to enjoy the scent all day long. For Eau de Parfum, 2 sprays are even enough, because it is much more concentrated and stronger than Eau de Toilette.

It may sometimes feel like you can't smell the scent anymore, but that's because your nose gets used to a scent after about 15 minutes. This doesn't mean that others can't smell the perfume anymore—your scent is often still very noticeable to them.

Tip: Use a maximum of 2 sprays with Eau de Parfum. This way your perfume will last longer and you will continue to enjoy the perfect balance in fragrance intensity.

Perfume is best stored in a cool, dark place. Avoid warm or humid environments, such as near a heater or in direct sunlight, as this can affect the quality of the scent. Also make sure that you always close the perfume tightly with the cap to prevent evaporation.

To get the most out of your perfume, it is important to apply it to warm skin. Warmth helps the scent to develop better and last longer.
